God is faithful to His word and He watches over it to perform it. When we pray according to His will, we can be confident that He hears us and answers us. 1 John 5:14-15. But sometimes we need to enforce what we have prayed by speaking His word with authority and resisting the enemy’s lies. Jeremiah 1:12 says “God hastens His word to perform it.” That means He is eager and swift to fulfill His promises. We can cooperate with Him by declaring His word over our lives and situations, and by standing firm in faith until we see its manifestation in our lives.

“Let us hold fast to the confession of our faith without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23. These scriptures have propelled me to stretch my faith in God during some very unpredictable times in my life, but God was not only at work during those times, I later learned, He was pruning me and building my spiritual character and muscle. Strengthening my Faith in Him, so I would have a memory of His track record the next time I faced difficulty.

“Faith, mind you, is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not yet seen.” Hebrews 11:1. We are instructed, nevertheless, to make declarations and decrees according to scripture in FAITH. We must strengthen our convictions and subject our minds to the Holy Spirit (Romans 12:2) and believe that we are the righteousness of God (Roman3;22) and it is His will to prosper His children. Joshua 1:8

Let me encourage you to trust God, although it may not seem easy right now, the Holy Spirit will help you. “Hope in the Lord, let your soul find rest in Him; our hope comes from Him. Truly He is our rock and our salvation; He is our fortress, We will not be shaken.” Psalm 62:5-6.

Sometimes life throws us curveballs that we don’t expect or understand. We may face challenges, losses, disappointments, or hardships that extremely test our faith and trust in God. We may wonder why He allows such things to happen to us or to those we love. It can cause feelings of anger, confusion, and hopelessness. Such despair can cause one to question His goodness, His power, or even His love.

But in those moments of doubt and despair, let me encourage you to keep worshipping Him! Worship is not just singing songs or saying prayers. Worship is acknowledging who God is and what He has done for us, through His son, Christ Jesus on the cross. Worship is expressing our love, gratitude, and reverence for Him. Worship is aligning our hearts and minds with His will and His ways. “God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:24.

When we worship God, even when we don’t understand, we are submitting to His authority and wisdom by declaring that He is sovereign, faithful, and good. We are affirming that He knows what He is doing and that ” He has a purpose and a plan for our lives.” Jeremiah 29:11. We are trusting that He is working all things together for our good and His glory. Romans 8:28

Worshipping God invites us into His presence and His peace. Psalm 16:11. He promises to be with us always, especially during our struggles. “I will never leave you, nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5. Our worship experience comforts us with His love and His grace. He strengthens us with His power and His ultimate joy! “For the joy of the Lord is our strength.” Nehemiah 8:10. His magnificent hope and assurance in great abundance can’t be denied through scripture as we worship in His presence.

Worshipping God in the midst of our trials also helps us to grow in our faith and our character. He uses our difficulties to refine us and to make us more like Jesus. He teaches us to depend on Him and to rely on the promises in His word. “To take courage! Do not be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.” 2 Chronicles15:7. He challenges us to persevere and to overcome… “even to your old age I am He, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save you.” Isaiah 46:4. Through this worship experience we find transformation that brings us more into His image and His likeness. Now that we are in Christ, the old has passed away; behold all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

So let us keep worshipping God, even when we don’t understand. Let us continue to praise Him for who He is and what He has done. Let us thank Him for what He is doing and what He will do. Let us honor Him with our lives and our choices. Let us give Him glory with our words and our actions. “Worthy are you, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.” Revelation 4:11

“For nothing shall be impossible with God.” Luke 1:37. He is worthy of our worship, both now and forever. “Now unto Him who is able to do far more abundantly than we can ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus, throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21.
